Private Lessons
 30-minute Weekly (44 weeks annually) - $94 per month*

Group Lessons
 50-minute Weekly (44 weeks annually) - $88 per month*

* Discounts available for siblings in the same family.
* For Children’s  Lessons: A parent/guardian must attend all lessons.


Materials: $45 per curriculum level. Occasionally, special courses (composition, improvisation, accompaniment, etc.) will be combined with the regular curriculum. These typically run approximately $20-$25. Materials not included in tuition.

Many people think that piano lessons must be one-on-one to be effective. There are actually advantages to attending group lessons.
With the Simply Music method, learning becomes a wonderful experience when shared with others in group lessons. You not only get to learn by doing but you also learn by observing, by discussion, mentoring, etc. Then it becomes a memorable learning experience.
Adult and children’s group lessons begin at several times of the year. Each class has 4-5 students. Check below for more information. Contact me anytime to get started in private lessons.

Music can become a terrific profession or it can be a wonderful hobby that lasts a lifetime. As the only licensed instructor for the “Simply Music” piano curriculum, I’m proud to bring this non-traditional and comprehensive way of learning piano to the Phoenix, AZ area.

I teach private and group lessons in three locations here in Phoenix valley. Ages range between 6 and 96+. I am committed to your success in making piano a lifelong companion. For true success, we need to understand that it is a partnership. Especially for children students, this includes the parent/guardian being aware of and supporting the assignments.

The standard arrangement is for students to attend one lesson each week, either in a shared or private lesson format.

I sponsor two informal Music Celebrations (recitals) annually. All children and adult students are encouraged – but not required - to perform. The events are also webcast so those out of town can go to the website and attend “virtually.”

Also, periodically, student performances in the studio are recorded and uploaded to the Applegate Music Studio channel at YouTube.com.
